DearMood Privacy Policy

DearMood — Daily Mood Journal is designed to be a calm, private space for reflecting on your moods and emotions. Your privacy is fundamental to the purpose of this app.

DearMood does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer or any third parties.

Overview

DearMood is an offline-first mood tracking application. Your data remains on your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync.

• No advertising or attribution SDKs
• No accounts or sign-ups

Information You Provide

DearMood processes only the information required to provide its core functionality. This may include:

• A display name you choose for personalization
• Mood entries
• Notes or reflections
• Optional photos attached to entries
• Dates and times of entries

Your display name is used only within the app to personalize the experience (for example, greeting you by name). It is not used to identify you, create an account, communicate with you, or track your activity.

Photos

DearMood allows you to optionally attach photos to mood entries. Access to your photo library is requested only when you choose to add a photo.

Photos are stored locally on your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, photos are securely stored in your personal iCloud account along with your other app data.

DearMood does not analyze, scan, process, or upload your photos to external servers.

How Your Data Is Used

All information in DearMood is used solely to provide the app’s core features, such as displaying your mood history and supporting personal reflection.

Your data is never sold, shared, analyzed, or monetized.

Offline-First & Local Storage

By default, all data is stored locally on your device. DearMood works fully offline and does not require an internet connection.

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored securely in your personal Apple iCloud account. This allows your entries to be restored when reinstalling the app or moving to a new device.

DearMood does not have access to your iCloud data. iCloud sync is managed entirely by Apple and subject to Apple’s privacy policies.

No Tracking or Analytics

DearMood does not use analytics tools, tracking technologies, cookies, or advertising identifiers. Your activity within the app is not monitored or profiled.

Third-Party Services

DearMood does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or marketing services. The app may use standard Flutter and iOS system libraries that operate entirely on your device.

Data Sharing

Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

Your Control

You remain in full control of your data at all times. You can:

• Edit or delete entries and photos at any time
• Change your display name within the app
• Enable or disable iCloud sync
• Revoke photo access through iOS settings
• Delete the app to remove all locally stored data

Children’s Privacy

DearMood does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app contains no social features or user-to-user communication.

Changes to This Policy

Updates to this Privacy Policy may be made occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
